I was a guest speaker last Sunday at Alameda Spiritual Living Center. The theme for July was simply FREE. How fortunate could I be? I had given a talk about three years ago entitled - you guessed it -"Free From What?" I was very confident that all I would have to do is read through it a few times, maybe change a phrase or two, and I'd be ready, with very little time invested.

It turns out that three years can change perspective enough so that what I wrote three years ago just didn't quite work. As I was to learn, once again, it's harder to re-work something than to start from scratch. It took me twice as long to re-write than had I started with a blank page.

The up side is that in the re-writing, I discovered another aspect of 'Being Free'. When we are willing to let go of old beliefs and are open to new thoughts, new ideas, we are free to evolve spiritualy. And isn't evolution what Creation is really all about?
